A new report from The Wall Street Journal also suggests Spotify may soon reach out directly to a major streaming subscription services company, including Hulu. "It's unclear where the relationship between Spotify and Spotify is headed if more than a dozen of these companies, including Spotify, are interested in acquiring Spotify," The Journal writes. "All of the companies are well aware that the streaming service market has not yet settled, but they are moving swiftly to expand the business model."
As of now, Hulu has not announced a deal with Spotify, but it is believed to be working on an offer at the moment. Spotify also recently reached out to the Recording Industry Association of America to work with them on a new streaming service, and that offer has not yet been formally announced.
Spotify has a big picture business in store for its partners if Spotify is to continue to grow and grow creatively. It is the largest streaming service provider in the country and one of the most heavily represented companies in the music space.
