As for gear, the map on this map will feature custom "custom" items made by Epic Games, including a new helmet, a new armor, an "exclusive" weapon, and a new weapons and armor shop.

A few of the new maps are actually "new" items, since they include an overhauled weapon and armor shop, a loot shop, and a new character customization shop. (See the gallery below for a complete rundown of all of them.)

While the Epic Games title has a ton of new content this season, it's the story and characters that really make this one of the most interesting games of this year, so we're putting them out there at the moment.

In other news, GameSpot's Chris Mather had some more details on what The Complete Epic Games Summer Edition looks like—and whether it's as much as a full-length or a whole new game.

"The core of our game is a set of three procedurally generated maps that all take place in the same game world," Mather said, adding that The Complete Epic Games Summer Edition is "the game that gets me thinking about the way the world works and the way players move through it."
