A few days ago, I was having a good time writing a column about the current political climate in our country, and I was going to call it "The New Jim Crow," or whatever this phrase is. I was going to call it "The Donald Trump of the 20th century," which is to say, a guy who's a fascist, who's always been on the wrong side of history with regard to race, and who seems to be going to great lengths to make America great again, and who has done it in the name of white supremacy.
