But it's actually a rather unusual situation—one that may never be repeated. The White House's new policy on transgender bathroom access may not be as radical as many have expected. The administration has a long history of pushing for conservative policies that do not follow conservative principles (as well as many Republican ones), but in the past few months, it has moved to make the policy more conservative in its approach to transgender rights.
The move to include transgender bathrooms in the administration's policy will likely result in additional steps that the administration will take to counter the administration's pro-transgender position. In a recent interview with BuzzFeed News, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that he hopes the policy would be "a more positive step" for transgender and transgender issues. But that is hardly the first time such a move has been proposed by the administration.

He said that transgender Americans are "not just a bunch of dumb kids in a cell" who might not like the change and would not want to be forced to transition. He also told Politico that he expects the administration to continue to "take action" to address anti-transgender laws and to support conservative legislation that would change public policy on trans rights.
"I think the goal is to work with the people and do what they want to do," he said. "But there are some things that are important for me that I think should be included. For example, I think having those services on a national scale. When you're in the minority, and you're not able to access that, it's an issue that has enormous impact on a lot of people who are in the minority."
Pfeiffer also said that even if the policy is not conservative enough for the administration, he hopes it would still have a positive impact on the transgender and transgender rights movement.
"We want to make sure that we have a transgender policy that makes sure we are able to make sure that those people can have a safe place and have access to our personal, religious and medical space," he said.
In a recent interview on Fox News, Tillerson said that he is willing to work with the trans community to make sure that their rights are respected and to help them make their transition from the military to the service. He said that it would
