But the biggest change is that the Senate bill also includes a broader category of "public domain" music. Those who are a part of that category are not protected from copyright infringement.
The bill makes it easier for copyright holders to use copyrighted material, but it doesn't make it harder to make music from those recordings. The "public domain", as it's known, is a thing of the past for these songs, but the legislative proposal for a more streamlined process for such use is far from done yet.

A woman is recovering after being shot in the chest during a robbery at the Rodeo Inn in Hollywood.
The shooting occurred at about 3 p.m. Saturday at the Rodeo Inn and Range Inn in Southeast Hollywood.
The victim was found by a member of the public, who called police.
There was no immediate word on whether the shooting was related to the incident.
A man is also being charged with aggravated robbery.
This is not the first time Hollywood police have been in trouble with robbery. In March, for example, a man was arrested after a car with a gold and gold crown was stolen from a hotel.
It is unclear if any other robberies have resulted in injuries to people.
