But what does all this have to do with the original NES controller?

In a recent interview with IGN, the game designer for the original NES said the Joy-Con controllers were designed with an original purpose in mind: "To play the original Nintendo game. This is my dream."

So what is the problem? As a console enthusiast (yes, I'm one of them), I have to admit that I'm a bit of an oddball. I've played several games of the original NES controller (like Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong) – just a few times, though – and I've been lucky to play them all with the original console.

But I am more than a little skeptical about the new controller.
