In the meantime, Microsoft has updated Office to the latest.
In a recent blog post, I pointed out that Microsoft is now rolling out new support for the Office desktop client. This means that users running Windows 10 can now also now use a Microsoft Office desktop client (see the Microsoft blog post here ).
Update September 12th, 2018, when this article ran, Microsoft's official webpage still did not have a link to the new Office software. I can confirm that this is a common issue; the post also did not include a link to a Microsoft Office document.
Microsoft is not the only one doing this, as there are multiple developers with different needs and demands.
So what does this mean? Well, let's take a look.
What does this mean for Office?
Office 2010 was a disaster. Office 2010 was bad. Office 2010 is good. And so it is that when I received the Windows 10 October 2018 update—not because it fixes the problem, but because it fixes a bug with the Office 10 2010 app, which was fixed in the previous release but has been fixed in Windows 10 10.
Well, that has changed. The Windows 10 October 2018 update allows users to update Office 2010 to the latest version (not the latest version as suggested by the website), at a cost of $2.49 a month.
Now, though, there are a few things you need to know about the Office updates.
The first is that you can now install any Office 2010 app and use the update to delete or remove Office 2010.
This is a very important step, as the Office 2010 software and apps have been updated to work with Office 2010.
To get the latest Office updates, visit Microsoft's Office Update Center. Right-click on the Microsoft Office Update Center page and select "Add Updates" .
