It's hard to say when the phone will arrive. Google
It's hard to say when the phone will arrive. Google is probably a little bit ahead of the curve with Google Now, which will be a new feature in the Wear OS, but we can always assume that WearOS will arrive sometime in the next year or two.
When will Android Wear OS update be on Android Wear?
"Android Wear will be available starting today," said Google's Tim Cook when I spoke to him last week. "As with anything, it's a work in progress and we're always looking for more updates. And we're always striving to improve the OS, and we're always working to add value to the existing apps."
"We're working hard to make Android Wear better, because they are amazing," he continued. "They are the most powerful devices today. And even if they don't have the same functionality as our current devices, they have great features. And we're all excited that we've been able to do that with Android Wear. We're still trying to figure out how to do it and what it will be like."
How will Android Wear OS update to Android Wear 8.0?
Apple is currently planning to release a version of Android Wear 8.0 in the summer, at some point in the year. Google has been saying that Android Wear 8 will release in summer, which sounds "very reasonable, I guess." If we believe Apple will deliver Android Wear in the fall, it seems like Google will announce Android Wear 8.0 in the fall.
We don't know for sure if this is a release date or not. But it's been mentioned that Google will announce their latest Android Wear devices at a public event, which should not be surprising considering the Android Wear brand is known for being a bit of a fad.
Update 2: "Android Wear will be available starting today" from a source I was able to find.
Google says Android Wear 8.0 will support "fast charging, as well as other features like FaceTime and FaceTime Prime" and has "the ability to make your own apps, videos, music, and photos" using a "new Android Wear app, dubbed the "Home" app" with Android Wear 8.0. We've reached out to Google about this update.
Update 3: "I was going to do another Google-themed Android Wear news post. It's been a while, but I'm finally here!"
This is Google's answer to a question from a reader that was just a little bit off
