The Austin police have not yet made a final decision

The Austin police have not yet made a final decision on whether to charge Wilson with a crime but their initial investigation was still ongoing, according to the Dallas Morning News. Wilson was in touch with the Dallas Police Department about his alleged attack at the school and had left the station shortly prior to the alleged assault on Wilson. But Dallas police have not yet confirmed whether Wilson had committed the crime.

The United Daily News report adds that the arrest of Wilson is the fourth time since the US Embassy in Taipei in January that he has been held without bail for an alleged sexual assault.

On Wednesday, after a woman was arrested for allegedly raping a 13-year-old boy, the embassy in Taipei said that the case will go forward as a criminal investigation.  In a statement, the embassy said, "The country of Taiwan is committed to free and fair elections, free elections, and responsible, transparent, transparent, and independent elections conducted by an impartial and independent judiciary and the political process of all citizens."

The Washington Post reported that on Friday, the US National Security Council said, that the US embassy in Taipei has no "standing" to press charges against any embassy employee who had engaged in the alleged assault.  The Washington Post also reported that in an email sent to the Chinese embassy in Taipei, US Ambassador to the US, Peter Cook, issued a statement that read: "We have always welcomed China's open dialogue with the United States. We will continue to seek to strengthen our bilateral relations and continue to monitor China's behavior in the region and around the world."
