The car's VCSEC address remains secure, but it has also
The car's VCSEC address remains secure, but it has also been hit with an increasing number of hackers, and Tesla seems to be preparing to offer the most lucrative incentives. Tesla plans to offer $100,000 for the first five months, and it has not received any public offers yet, according to Bloomberg.
In the meantime, the company is preparing for the biggest breach yet of its network. In 2014, a group of hackers breached the Tesla network, resulting in the loss of all of its employees and customers, but the number of hackers still has not been officially reported.
"It's going to be a very difficult fight, but I have confidence that Tesla will be able to respond quickly," Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in a February statement. "I hope our customers are as resilient as we were, and we will work hard to make the company as secure as possible. This is a fight that will be very costly for us and for the businesses that rely on it."
While Tesla's security is in a serious state, a few interesting changes have been made to the company's software and infrastructure. For instance, it has been reworked to support more complex data transfer protocols. There has been a lot of attention focused on the vulnerability in the vehicle's firewall, which allows for more secure communications between hosts and networks.
A number of Tesla's recent investments have brought some improvements in security, but the company does not provide a firm date and time for a next-generation update. There are still issues with the latest firmware that Tesla has sent to the networks for maintenance to ensure it is running smoothly, and the software is still not up to the standards to ensure security.
Another problem is that Tesla's own self-driving vehicle, the Model 3, has not been released to the public at all. The company has not released a public roadmap for a product to be released in 2015. Tesla's first launch will be in March 2016, and in the meantime, it is looking to build a new version of the company's flagship car.
"I think we are going to be able to go from the Model 3 to the Model S very quickly," Musk told TechCrunch. "We have a couple of major drivers that already have vehicles that can take advantage of this technology. We're also going to be able to take Tesla's most important technology and make it more powerful. We have a lot of work to do so it won't take much to get Tesla to the point where it can be a viable leader in the way
