The Doom expansion pack has been released by Bethesda Games in an attempt to break into the world of shooters, but has not been widely shared.

One could argue that Doom's most popular series has had an awful lot of problems lately. The Doom franchise's continued existence is a pretty big deal in a country where the internet reigns supreme. On the other hand, even if Doom doesn't sell well as a video game, I hope some of the reviews in this article get a bit more constructive than this.

"The militants have lost their mind. It's like they've lost their mind. It's like they're getting ready for war. It's a huge blow to the group," the official said, adding, "We are the ones who need a major battle to defend our country."

Iraqi forces, including U.S. air strike force, were in position to hit the Islamic State in northern Mosul, but the coalition had been unable to land troops on their way to the besieged city, the official said. Iraqi forces were forced to withdraw in late June after the U.S.-led coalition destroyed Islamic State's major offensive there.

The U.S. officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the U.S. is cooperating with the government in Iraq to protect the U.S. embassy.
