The first time I saw a female Doctor on television, with the appearance of a black male Doctor, was for the final season's "A Year in the Life of the Doctor," in which the Doctor is played by the celebrated actress Sally Yates. On a different set, that same season, I saw John Hurt portraying the first female Doctor as a young doctor in the series finale, "The Man Who Fell." And that was before he even started his career in the first series.

The U.S. government is pushing back against the U.S. military's use of drones to spy on people overseas.

"It is a violation of the rules under which the U.S. military operates," the official said.
