The FAA had previously been reviewing the deployment of pretensioners for F-150s, but the FAA has not released a list of its guidelines for responding to crashes. A federal judge in the United States has yet to rule on the question whether it is time for the FAA to put it on the books.

That includes questions about a possible lawsuit against the FAA for the safety of its own vehicles.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the FAA's use of pretensioners to steer a semi-autonomous vehicle is "a violation of the Fair Use Rule."

The FAA has a policy against using "non-standard equipment for performance tests" that do not involve safety systems.

The FAA does not use the term "entertainment equipment" to refer to vehicles like the F-150 pickup truck, an agency spokesman said. As a result, it's not the first time that Ford, who has been sued for "entertainment equipment" by the FAA, has been accused of making it illegal to operate a car like the F-150.

Ford says that its customers buy its products because "they love it."

The company had already made the claim that the idea of the seatbelt pretensioner was "inconsistent with its public policy" and that it had been looking at whether to move forward with the recall.

The federal government has also been investigating whether the FAA had been violating the Fair Use Rule and whether the FAA should have stopped using the term "entertainment equipment" for "performance tests."

Since the FAA has not released its list of guidelines, the FAA has been unable to get a final ruling from the Supreme Court regarding whether it should put the term pretensioner on the books.The new book,
