The inspector general's office has also questioned whether the Air Force should follow the U.S. government's policy of requiring private companies to review their contracts and reviews its compliance with the new certification guidelines.
"The Air Force should be responsible for notifying the public that they are taking steps to address their own national security problems with their own company and that they are taking steps to ensure the safety of their own employees," Roark said in a statement released Monday.
The inspector general's office did not respond to requests for comment by Business Insider.
In the statement, the Air Force said it is "considering the following steps to address this issue and will be taking certain additional actions to address it." It did not specify which steps the Air Force plans to take.

I knew that he had some very bad news for me, and that I should take this opportunity to really hear his side of things.

I was thinking that it was something I had heard before, or maybe it was just in the works. He said, "I'm afraid you're going to have to learn to talk about the 'news.' You know, it's so much more important to have something positive to say. So let's get to it. I'm sorry, but I don't know what you think about this stuff. I'm just glad you're here." And he said, "Well, I've been in all sorts
