The Mac mini: "A new OS X version that looks amazing, but also feels better."

Apple's new Mac mini looks much better and feels much more stable. This is a big deal.

The Surface Pro 5.0 also looks better, but it's probably not one of those things you want to put on your forehead. The Surface Pro 2's big refresh is going to be a big deal, and it'll make everything look better and more responsive, even in darker, darker colors. And at $299 a year, it certainly is at home on your monitor, and it's also going to be big on the back of your notebook.

Today's big announcement will make things much more convenient for all Mac users, of course, but it also means that there are going to be many new Macs, including the new MacBook Air, all with the new MacBook Mini, just in time for the holiday season.

"In this year's event, we had a lot of different events and really wanted to give everyone a chance to try out our new MacBook Pro," said Steve Ballmer, co-founder and CEO of Macworld. "We're excited about this year's event, but we will update you as we learn more. We're also excited about the next-generation MacBook Air and the new Mac mini, and we want to give you the latest information about them so you can take advantage of them."
