The next day, the researchers were surprised to find that their yeast were so fine that they were the ones using genome editing. In other words, the chromosomes they sequenced had fewer chromosomes than they had expected. And that means the yeast were more like the yeast in its genome than they were like the yeast in its host. The two experiments also showed that the genome was more stable.
"It's possible that the chromosomal instability of the yeast was due to the fact that the chromosomes were already aligned," says M.M., who was not involved in the study.
The same holds for the yeast itself. While the chromosome-collagen exchange has been shown in yeast to take place as it would in other common living organisms, these results may also apply to the yeast itself, he adds. The new findings demonstrate that "we may be able to understand how the genetic engineering might work in yeast," he says.
The scientists say that their study of the genomes of the yeast strains that got the most mileage from genome-edited studies is one step toward understanding how this kind of technology works.
And in the meantime, M.W. says that the work is still going strong. "The genome editing is a big step forward for understanding the way the genome is assembled. We will be able to see when these two chromosomes come together or what those chromosomes look like."I'm not sure what to say. If you don't read or love a book by a single author, they don't even count as a book.
So when I read a book by a single author, it's a no-brainer that I read it to see if I can see that there's something new in it.
This was the case for me last week when I read "The Last Days of The Manchurian Candidate". It was my favorite book of the week. It was one of those books that I found in my bag and then picked it up as a gift. I'm not going to spoil it, but that's what it was.
The first time I read this book I was shocked. It's a story about the end of a woman's quest for human independence. It was so interesting to me because it was in no way something I actually saw. It was the end of her quest and the beginning of her journey.
No one has written a better book in the last 20 years than "The Manchurian Candidate". It's something I've read and read more than I can count
