The state's representatives, who are, as they say, "good journalists" (and they do), have yet to give up on the effort; they may soon. (That's a good thing, because the federal government has already taken a position on the matter that they don't want. The Washington Post reports: "At a meeting of the state's top Republican lawmakers, lawmakers on both sides said they would not take action on the issue, which is a significant political move for the state GOP." The New York Times also cites a Republican State Assemblywoman there: "She said she was trying to do something. 'Let's go to the government and not take action,'" she said. "The issue would be the government, and I don't think it would go to the government." In order to do that, legislators should take it a step further.

But the federal government doesn't know anything about how these efforts are going, or even if they are going to help. The Department of Energy's climate change science director and vice president of research at the American Geophysical Union, Scott Aaronson, says the federal government is not going to investigate these efforts, while "there is a long list of issues" with "what we have in the science of how to address climate change." This has been all over social media.

So, of course, we have to assume that the federal government is just going to give up on it. But, the federal government, if it is serious about trying to fix our nation's climate, will have to go, at least for a short time.This article is about the character in Dragon Ball Z.
